MAP Reviews Editor

MAP Magazine is looking for a new Reviews Editor. This is a residency position (approx. 4-5 days per month) which will involve commissioning and writing review related material (formats can include critical review, video, fiction, poetry, essay etc) for MAP online. A fee of £4,300 will cover the period 9 December 2019 to 7 September 2020.
The Reviews Editor will also work on relevant publicity, including social media postings and occasional MAP events. Part of a small team, the post will suit someone willing to use their initiative and work independently alongside MAP’s editorial directors. While MAP work is largely managed remotely, we have a shared MAP space at CCA Glasgow and aim to have one meeting per month to discuss ideas.
Experience in critical writing and knowledge of contemporary visual art is essential. We encourage applications from all sections of society and aim to have a broad representative and inclusive team and programme.
MAP is a contemporary visual art publisher on and off line and producer of events/performances.
