A video by Rallou Panagiotou made for MAP Footnoting the Archive , 2016. Presented as part of a series of footnotes to Glasgow Sculpture Studios’ current exhibition, ‘The transparent tortoiseshell and the un-ripe umbrella’.

The video is both a result of the materiality that concerns Panagiotou’s sculptural work and an edited excerpt from her 2016 film, Kalypso (Volume I), which will be presented at Glasgow International 2016.

Filmed on location at an abandoned beach resort in Greece, the video is populated by collected bootleg leisure commodities, mass-produced in Greece in the late 80s and 90s.

Sound design by Aris Siafas.
